You may in fact be asking yourself the same question. The video shows .Paak and Talib taking a stroll through Brooklyn, lighting up the streets with soul, piercing puns and wordplay. Something about .Paak’s musical energy just does something to me, I could feel that energy from the moment the song began to play. They’ve teamed up to produce something that works so effortlessly together and can be enjoyed by everyone, due to its radiance and positivity. The Kaytranada-produced track “Traveling Light” is just one of the many songs that come from Talib Kweli’s new album Radio Silence. The album consists of features from the likes of BJ The Chicago Kid, Jay Electronica, Rick Ross, Bilal, Robert Glasper and more. Radio Silence has a number of layers, evident in the fluidity of it’s R&B element, to the thought-provoking lyrics that come from Talib’s storytelling. Talib has once again outdone himself with this musical ensemble, reaching both the rap and soul scene. He extends his voice to speak on politics, the justice system, the judicial system, romance, race and more. The album as a whole is an all-rounder and should be acknowledged as such by all mainstream platforms!
